Sandré Swanson backs clean money campaign
From the Globe Political Desk
Sandré Swanson, candidate for California’s 16th Assembly district, says he
supports Assemblywoman Loni Hancock’s Clean Money campaign.
Said Swanson: ‘It is essential that we support election reform that promotes democracy. Campaigns should always be about the government’s priorities in meeting the needs of the people, not in meeting the needs of special interest money.
“Real campaign finance reform is needed, and I join Assemblywoman Hancock in her courageous effort to push the California Assembly toward responsible campaign finance reform,” said Swanson, former Chief of Staff and District Director for Congresswoman Barbara Lee and Congressman Ronald V. Dellums.
He is a candidate in the Democratic primary for the 16th district, which includes Alameda, most of Oakland and Piedmont.
